ooh i'm so excited about our malacca trip! 1 more day to independance :). hmm but it'll be weird without the grownups around. boo i won't be going for church camp this year. so sad leh. for the first time in like.. well a really long time i won't be there. cos my parents say ' your sister needs to study for her o levels' fine by me. sigh.geez my classmates are way weird. i mean it. first week of school one was like, 'do you plan on becoming a model when you grow up?' into the first month 'what's your waist line?' and then there was the 'you're so skinny' and 'are you dieting?'. the thing is, if you eat more than usual they say 'careful or you'll be fat next time' and a mouthful less will be, 'are you anorexic?' for the record, i am not skinny, not dieting, not anorexic, not planning on being a model when i grow up. even classmates thinner than me say, 'charlotte, why are you so sticky(stick-like)?' Ooohkay. i remember a back issue of teen vogue speaking that white girls as in the americans tend to want to be skinny, whereas the african american embrace shape. why is this so? being skinny is definitely not cool. clothes don't fit you well, you look frail and sickly, people say you're anorexic and the comments flow in. whats the big idea about people nowadays dieting and all? as my father will say, inner beauty beats external anyday. beauty, for one, is skin-deep. a guy can marry the worlds most beautiful woman, but lets face it, we all will age and whatever beauty that was there is poof! gone. be yourself! let me make an example: girl A is pretty and rich but she curses like a pirate, swears like nobodies business, has no proper etiquette, and is bratty and all. nothing nice about that. putting it simply, she's just not nice.back to the start: i'm not against losing weight or anything but if you're skinny and still think you're fat, go see a doctor. please. theres nothing wrong with being normal. i'm a borderline underweight case and i'm not normal if thats what you're thinking. yes i agree. but i love myself for what i am and thats what i think really counts. all of us should love ourselves cos we're all unique and special and one of a kind. being God's creation, we should be proud of ourselves. if we don't love we, who will?confessions of a teenage dramaqueen: in cinemas 29 marchwhen the dramaqueens let lose, brace yourselves.Charlotte Wang.overandout.
