ahhhhh choir concert yesterday!
it was pretty awesome i guess, and it all passed really quickly, probably because we were running around and changing so much haha. yesterday i realised how much i'm going to miss choir, and all the concerts. the mad rush to change after each segment, the way we all just change openly in one huge room (now you know, ahhahaha), the huge fakey smiles we plaster on, how we complain about the annoying audience who sleep, forgetting our steps and laughing over it later, and of course, singing as a choir.
ok so enough of reminiscing.
met jien at 11+ to get gifts for the choir and cold storage at chancery, and we ended up choosing for a really long time (kinder or toblerone?) before deciding on kinder. GOOD ITALIAN MEMORIES! reached the ava room at 12, ate lunch (some sardine crossiant thingy from delifrance), warmed up for about an hour plus, changed to kebaya and did makeup. then leanne came in and started complaining that my makeup was too pale, and started dabbing this fuchsia blush on my face, nightmare D: vera and i and whoever was touched by leanne's magical hand looked freaky and geisha/getai-like, super different from our normal boring stage make-up.
i was complaining about it to leanne, like:
'we never put such thick make-up before! i look really scary!'
'honey, last time i wasn't your senior.'
GOT IT. haha i still love you leanne, maybe minus your fuchsia blush though.
final seconds to our matinee show and we were all wiggling around behind the curtain, excited and nervous and not really knowing how many people to expect behind the curtain. ok so the crowd wasn't the best, mainly made up of tkgs girls (I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THERE WERE SO MANY, SPYING AHHHH) and parents and teachers and like scholars? yeah they were nice enough, clapping when supposed to. except this guy fell asleep and we all got really pissy at him. but then again, choral's pretty boring, so i don't blame him entirely. there was some problem with the positioning, but it was fixed later.
crazy rush to change into european, with all the buttons down the back and the fake-corset thingy.
then the crazy rush to change into tribal, with funky leg ribbons!
and finally the crazy rush to change into country, i was really freaking out backstage, walking back and forth and grabbing the mike, but i guess it wasn't that bad after all.
after the whole thing and when everyone was running around hugging their friends, i tell you i felt like such a loser luh, cos none of my friends were there :( so sad luh. i'm going to make my whole dg go next year, if there is one. ahhhhh just my luck that ffd had to clash with choir concert:/
haha mrs dee was quite funny, i met her after the concert and she was like,
'next time during PE i'm going to make you sing!'
ahhh then we all went kinda crazy, singing the old concert songs like the Abba medley, New Day, Route 66. haha it was pretty cool, the sec threes sitting together and singing/screaming. then syl held out her plastic cupcake box and was like, 'its vibrating!'
haha. oh yeah apparently raymond didn't know about the choir concert and asked where we were, then we were like talking about our math tutors. then jess was talking about hers, which led to this:
jess: 'he's always like, piece of cake! logs ah, piece of cake!'
me: 'hahahaa LOGCAKE!'
hahaha super lame luh, jess was laughing and vera was once again like, 'huh i don't get it!'
dinner was this spicy rice and spicy seafood thingy (ah ah ah, wrong choice mrs wang!), so i didn't eat very much.
the gala night was pretty much like the matinee, haha but this time i put eyeliner because reshma told me that my eyelashes looked beige, for some apparent reason. oh and we took backstage photos! which look quite awesome, but are all with natty.
ok this time i think i tried to emote more or something, and apparently mel started crying. she was all puffy eyed when i met her later, and jess and i almost started crying too. ok i saw a lot more people this time, like my family for one, and slimmy!, michelle tee, dilys, priscilla, erica, seniors and ex-seniors and yeah a lot of random people.

ahhhh i'm now the proud owner of fighting fish!
ok two luh, maybe not too great haha. but yeah i'm famous for having pets (especially fish) which don't survive the week. i'm going to try my best and make sure they survive long! THANK YOU SABBY, THEY'RE REALLY PRETTY!
ok my throat hurts and so does my head :( maybe i'll go have a nap!
